Climbing
This beautiful itinerary first threads its way through the peaceful valley of Vénéon up to Venosc, and then it’s only a quick ride on the cable car and there you are!
Now you are in Les Deux-Alpes, which is 1,650 m high. On the way down you will then follow a small narrow road above the spectacular gorges of the Infernet.
From Bourd-d’Oisans follow the RN9 towards Briançon. After 5 km follow the road towards La Bérarde. Stop at Venosc and take the cable car to Les Deux-Alpes.
Cycle down towards Mont-de-Lans and turn left to follow the D220 to Bons.
A local story
Once upon a time in Oisans, there was a gargantuan, a giant with a gargantuan appetite. He is the one who is said to have shaped the mountains of Pied Moutet and La Rochette in order to put his feet on them and drink the clear water of the Vénéon without getting wet.
"Cycling helps to develop initiative, energy, patience, endurance and modesty. Cycling is a form of humanism." - Paul Guth
